The canvas wall and stitching table at Threads Too in Fair Haven, NJ

Our Story

Diane has loved needlepoint since she was a little girl, stitching alongside her mother. So when Threads, the beloved local needlepoint shop right here in Fair Haven, closed its doors, Diane panicked. Where was she going to get her fix?

A few months later, she found her answer: a space just across the street from the old shop. In November 2017, Threads Too opened. It was built to fill the gap Threads left behind and to keep Fair Haven stitching.

We think needlepoint might be exactly what the world needs more of right now. In a time when everyone's glued to their phones, there's something wonderful about sitting down with a canvas, a needle, and some good company instead. We've watched brand-new stitchers and kids put down their screens and pick up a canvas, and there's nothing like the look on a young stitcher's face when they finish their very first piece.

That's really what Threads Too is about: a place to slow down, meet like-minded people, and make real connections. We carry one of the best and most diverse selections of canvases (classic and trendy) and threads around, in a shop that's clean, bright, and genuinely welcoming. People don't just come in to shop. They come in and make friends.

Meet the Team

Diane, Owner. Diane has been needlepointing since she was a little girl, when her mother first taught her. For Diane, needlepoint is calming. It quiets the noise and gives her something to focus on. She'll tell you she can't truly relax without a canvas in her hands.

Victoria. Victoria spent 16 years at the original Threads and helped Diane learn the ropes when Threads Too got its start. Her knowledge and experience are woven into everything we do.

Lauren. Lauren is Diane's daughter-in-law, and together the two of them created DLB Designs, their own needlepoint design brand.

Maggie. Maggie loves being part of the community and staying close to home, seeing friends every day and meeting new stitchers who walk through the door. Ask around town and you'll find all the neighborhood kids love stopping by to visit Maggie in the shop. She's also the creator of MT Designs, her own needlepoint line made specifically with beginner stitchers in mind.
